The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for Full-Time Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist (APDP Coded) (NH-0346-03) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the 448 Supply Chain Management Wing (SCMW) at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to exercise 1st level supervisory and position management responsibilities over subordinate employees within the 407th or 408th Squadron. Directs work activities through subordinates with responsibility for maintaining a current knowledge and guiding subordinate employees to provide advice, accountability, and expertise on a continuous basis. MISSION STATEMENT: 407 SCMS/GULA Mission Statement: Provides world-class operational support for ground-to-ground, ground-to-air, and air-to-air communication necessary for warfighters to safely and securely communicate to and from designated target/destination. The flight provides sustainment, logistics support, continuous improvement, increased effectiveness and efficiency for common and peculiar avionics systems to include airborne, data links and ground communication radios used by DoD, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Allied Forces. 408 SCMS/GULB Mission Statement: Plans, directs and manages the activities of the Electronic Warfare (EW) Supply Chain Management Flight. Provides life cycle management for EW commodities to include developing enterprise demand/supply plans, developing/implementing sourcing strategies, executing the supply plan and executing cognizant engineering authority to meet customer requirements and manning support. Flight is responsible for 21 systems providing aircraft/aircrew survivability protection in hostile environments by deception, denying functionality and early detection of enemy weapon systems and includes Radio Frequency Jammers, Missile Warning Systems, Radar Warning Receivers, Chaff & Flare Dispensers, Electronic Support Measures, EW Suite Controllers and EW Test Sets for the Air Force, other services and Foreign Military. MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Plans work to be accomplished by subordinate employees, sets and adjusts short and long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Evaluates requirements for additional resources submitted by subordinate supervisors, and balances organization needs with overall mission requirements and resource interests.
  • Participates in special logistics management operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.
  • Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with a variety of installation and functional area organizations located at Robins AFB, GA. REQUIREMENTS: Conditions of Employment:

  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station ADDITIONAL POSIITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours, to include evenings and weekends, and may be subject to recall. Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties.
  • This position has been designated as a Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification requirements applicable to the career category designated on the position description within 24 months of assignment. This position also requires the employee to engage in acquisition continuous learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning points every 24 months. Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
  • Knowledge of the applicable logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of integrated logistics support.
  • Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.
  • Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
