SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in knowledge of Intelligence and Investigations, Operations, and Plans and Programs functions; planning, organizes and directs the activities within a Security Forces Squadron, ensuring the administrative security programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs; knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures, personnel management, and EEO regulations; In-depth knowledge of security concepts to include a wide range of security disciplines, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology and practices in order to independently manage assigned programs and to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the installation; knowledge of the tactics, techniques, and procedures necessary for preparation and response to catastrophic events, enemy attacks, and related threats to installations; knowledge to formulate and effectively implement special operating requirements, methods, and procedures for enforcing specialized personnel access controls and preventing unauthorized access to areas where stringent security requirements are enforced; knowledge related to physical security and operational security for applicable AFMC weapons systems, facilities, arms/munitions storage activities and environments under their respective purview; knowledge of security responsibilities by ensuring education and compliance with security directives for employees with access to classified or sensitive material. - Plans, organizes and directs the activities within a Security Forces Squadron, ensuring the administrative security programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- Represents the flight and squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops and maintains effective working relationships with wing, complex and assigned or tenant organization command and security offices.
- Responsible for ensuring installation and unit security programs through the appropriate interpretation, planning, organizing, developing and implementation of guidance and policy contained in a number of DoD/AF regulations concerning US National Security is successfully accomplished.
- Represents the Security Forces Commander at meetings, conferences, workshops, panels, etc.
