This announcement seeks to fill multiple NH-301-03 positions which have an anticipated 2025 salary range of $88,621 - $137,000.
These positions are not eligible for remote or full-time telework; situational-based agreements may be available at the discretion of the hiring manager.
The primary purpose of these positions is to serve as an Executive Support Specialist for the ICBM Systems Directorate.
The ICBM Systems Directorate’s mission is to deliver, sustain, modernize, and support ICBMs and associated infrastructure for the United States. The directorate is responsible for providing the most responsive capability and backbone of nuclear deterrence for Air Force Global Strike Command through the following program offices: LGM-30G Minuteman III, LGM-35A Sentinel. Included within life cycle management of the systems is maintaining the required reliability capabilities to meet the nuclear surety, safe storage, and warfighting platform capability.
DUTIES:
- Perform a variety of administrative and technical support to include detailed planning related to complex management projects, issues and initiatives relieving the Executive Staff of detailed planning.
- Perform Commander/Director support duties, to include but not limited to, workflow and task management, support agreement management, staffing and coordination, strategic engagements and special projects.
- Duties may also include processing, ordering and tracking Government Purchase Card (GPC) requests in accordance with Air Force (AF)/Department of Defense (DoD) guidance as a GPC holder.
- Provide management of Directorate required compliance programs such as Continuity of Operations, Emergency Management, Vehicle Control Officer, Unit Safety Representative and Unit Deployment Manager.
- Oversee a variety of functions including incoming/outgoing correspondence, records management, publications/forms management, administrative standard operating procedures, administrative internal controls, and organizational files management.
- Aid and assist in Directorate resource management to include development of processes to manage vacancies, compensation strategy, functional training and development.
- Coordinate projects and tasking on behalf of the Directorate leadership, ensuring priority actions and those of particular interest are properly staffed and executed throughout the organization.
- Identify problem areas and recommend actions to improve operations, correct deficiencies, and prevent recurrence of problems.
- Analyze operations to determine compliance with established guidelines, operational procedures, internal controls, and progress in meeting program goals and objectives.
- Create, modify, and analyze, as required, the administrative operations and processes to ensure all actions, procedures, correspondence and instructions are effective and coherent.
- Provide policy interpretation and functional recommendations on diverse management issues, programs and systems.
- Serve as a trusted agent and ensures personnel matters are protected from unofficial use or disclosure.
- At least 3 years’ knowledge in planning, organizing and directing Commander/Director Support Staff functions/responsibilities with familiarity of applicable policies and regulations is preferred.
- Knowledge of Air Force and Command policy/regulations relative to Awards and Trophies processes is highly desired.
- Comprehensive knowledge of organizational elements of Team Hill, AFNWC, Air Force Materiel Command, as well as a working knowledge of other commands, Air Staff, United States Air Force, Department of Air Force, Office of Secretary of Defense and other agencies is highly valued.
- Expertise in executive writing and the ability to reliably deliver error-free, high-quality products that effectively communicate the messages and themes of the supported senior leader is highly desired.
- Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations pertaining to use of the GPC to procure goods and services above the micro-threshold limit; knowledge of GPC regulations, policies, and procedures for procurement of goods and services at or below the micro-threshold, including use of mandatory sources of supply; working familiarization with market research and buying tools such as SAM.gov, Acquisition Gateway, FPDS-NG, and eBuy is desired.
- Knowledge of Department of the AF/DoD regulations, instructions and policies for Compliance based Program execution is valued.
- Knowledge of workforce development and management strategy is preferred.
- Knowledge of records management principles, programs and procedures is preferred.
- Ability to communicate in a logical and clear manner, both orally and in writing is desired.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment is valued.
- Familiarity and experience using tools such as MS Teams and suite MS Office products, Jira and Confluence for project tracking and management is desired.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance and will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations.
