About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Program Manager (NH-1101-03) to work at the 96th Test Wing, 96th Test Systems Squadron (96 TSSQ) at Eglin Air Force Base in Valparaiso, Florida.
In this position you will serve as the Program Manager Section Lead within the Contracts Management Flight for the 96th Test Systems Squadron (96 TSSQ/RNXC), managing 8 PM personnel, whose mission is to provide exemplary business services and resources to enable and support the 96th Range Group’s Research, Development, and Test requirements contracts. 96 TSSQ/RNXC manages and oversees R&D and services contract that support the mission of the 96 Test Wing.

Location: Valparaiso, FL (Eglin Air Force Base)
Typical 2024 salary range: $86,962 - $134,435 per year (includes locality)
Telework Information: Up to 40% telework possible (must reside in local area)
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible
Direct Hire Authority: NO 6-MONTH WAIT! Recently retired and/or retiring from MILITARY service ARE eligible for immediate appointment for AFTC positions. The 180-day waiting period has been waived for AFTC to hire recently retired and/or retiring service members.
- 2 years of acquisition program management experience desired
- 2 years of experience with contract management and stakeholder engagement desired
- 1 years of experience at First-Level Supervisor level desired
Major Duties:
- Oversees execution and management of multiple major contracts that provide services and products to enable and support Test & Evaluation missions
- Oversees planning and acquisition of new or follow-on contracts relevant to the Test & Evaluation mission
- Serves as focal point for collaborating across multifunctional teams including program management, systems engineering, contracting, financial management, logistics and sustainment, and others as required
- Exercises supervisory responsibilities for approximately 8 personnel
- Reports contract status to leadership, including, accomplishments, solutions, and future requirements for support
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- DAWIA Certification/APDP Certification Level II, Practitioner
- An OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, is required upon appointment, and will be required to file annually.
- Knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition management process and initiatives.
- Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process.
- Skill to plan, organize, and direct Program Management staff in critical aspects of development of contracts for testing and evaluation of weapons, and to coordinate various aspects of contract management and acquisition planning to include leading teams comprised of engineering, contracting, financial management, and logistics.
