About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a full-time Supply Technician (Office Automation) (NJ-2005-02) to work at the 412 Test Wing, Electronic Warfare Group, EWS Division (412EWG/EWSL) at Edwards Air Force Base.
The Site Support Division provides Group-wide support and processes for ground test support services, engineering, operations, maintenance, drafting, safety, environmental compliance, and space allocation. The primary purpose of this position is to perform tasks associated with supply operations and materiel control support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, or other items that are unique to the organization's mission.

Location: Edwards, CA (Edwards Air Force Base)
Typical 2025 salary range: $47,019 - $83,859 per year (includes locality)
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible
Direct Hire Authority: NO 6-MONTH WAIT! Recently retired and/or retiring from MILITARY service ARE eligible for immediate appointment for AFTC positions. The 180-day waiting period has been waived for AFTC to hire recently retired and/or retiring service members.

Major Duties:
- Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
- Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
- Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
- Performs administrative office support function; use multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents and databases.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Education requirements (Check OPM Qualifications Standard and Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR))
- Must have thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions; knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods; knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transaction in an automated supply system.
- Must have intensive knowledge of local supply requirements to ensure supply support for test operations, overhaul, repair, or other operations for urgent critical shortages and other special items.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems; ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.
