An Assembly Technician with AHP constructs custom assemblies and fabricates value-added assembly items as needed by customers and for stock. Essential Duties :
- Fabricate and construct custom stock assemblies by performing the following : plasma cutting, welding, soldering, grinding, painting, electrical wiring, fabricating hose and tubing to various sizes, using general hand and power tools, as well as performing various diagnostic and trouble-shooting practices.
- Interact and take direction from the Assembly Division Coordinator and management team for scheduling and prioritizing assembly projects and methods to use in completing tasks.
- Use calculators and charts to determine appropriate components to be used in some assemblies.
- Document new and changed custom assemblies through the use of digital cameras, computers, scanners, faxes, and electronic drawings in conjunction with applications engineering.
- Testing completed units to the prescribed standards as required and specified by customers.
