How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The IT Project Manager is responsible for evaluating, prioritizing, planning, executing, and tracking IT-related projects, as well as supporting the PMO roadmap in order to continuously improve the PMO processes and services. The position requires an individual with a strong project management background and deep understanding of managing complex projects across various functional disciplines.
Manage the entire project lifecycle from project initiation through closure
Be accountable for on-time and on-budget project execution in IT, serve as the first point of contact/liaise between project stakeholders and project team to ensure project success
Create, execute, monitor and revise project plan to meet changing project requirements and resources; plan, prepare for and facilitate all project status meetings; manage resolution of project issues including proper escalation to project stakeholders.
Identify project resource requirements and timelines and negotiate with IT service owners on resource availability and allocation; lead team members to complete assigned tasks within specified timelines and ensure all team members feel engaged, productive and effective
Facilitate project procurement (products and services required by third parties) and consult IT resources as needed; manage project time and cost expectations with project stakeholders
Lead efforts to deliver IT applications and services to the business community by leveraging internal resources and third party relationships
Collaborate with Ops Controller and participate in project budget preparation
Manage project budgets
Develop and execute procedures, processes and guidelines that enhance the overall effectiveness of project management execution
Develop and implement new IT processes, procedures, and workflows that enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Digital & IT department
Provide reports and dashboards with an overall performance overview of project management services
Effectively collaborate with other teams to document project scope, resources, timing, goals and deliverables for the purposes of obtaining IT gating and financial approval
Monitor and report on progress of projects or the project portfolio to all key stakeholders, including key risks and issues identification and resolution
Facilitate issue identification and resolution
Document project change requests and assess change impact
Conduct project Lessons Learned meetings and use results to continuously improve project and IT processes; promote project management process and the institutionalization of project management standards and best practices through mentoring and lead-by-example
Work effectively across cross-functional teams to reach a common goal
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related disciplinerequired
10 years experience in two of the three areas: Business/Operations, Finance, IT, or Project Management
5 years managing teams of internal employees and contractors
PMP and CSM certification preferred
Knowledge and understanding of business processes in the scope of the industrial gases, chemicals, and wholesale distribution industries
Demonstrated understanding of all aspects of a full life cycle project implementation and support
Experience with complex implementations that include packaged software and custom development is required
Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to lead discussions, present ideas to audiences of all sizes, and interact with all levels of the organization
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals
Experience leading and managing cross-functional project team members and deliverables
Demonstrated ability to analyze and provide effective problem solving
Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
Ability to coordinate between teams and business-solution oriented
