THE WAREHOUSE AND DELIVERY DRIVER POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PACKING DELIVERY VEHICLES TO TRANSPORT MATERIALS WITHIN THE TWIN CITIES METRO AND STAGING ORDERS / DELIVERIES WITHIN THE WAREHOUSE. ASSIST IN MAINTAINING SYSTEM AND INVENTORY RECORDS, PUTTING AWAY MATERIAL STOCK DELIVERIES, PRCOESS RETURNS, AND COMPLETE CORRESPONDING PAPERWORK IN A TIMELY MANNER MONDAY - FRIDAY 6 : 00AM - 2 : 30PM.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Verify daily delivery orders are staged and prepared completely and matched up for jobsite deliveries
- Verify equipment is accurately pulled and serial number (if applicable) matches the job picklist / truck stock
- Adhere to daily schedule utilizing best routes for deliveries
- Collect return items as per delivery route, bring back to warehouse, process return-to-warehouse items in system software and return parts to warehouse shelf
- Assist in putting away incoming stock order items, special order items, physical and system inventory returns
- Process daily material picklists and truck stocks for other departments ensuring orders are staged and prepared correctly for deliveries including equipment
- Work cooperatively with warehouse and purchasing teams regarding will calls, incoming stock, special order items, returns, and communicate accordingly
- Ensure vehicle is always in working order (fluids / tires / etc.) and maintained
- Assist warehouse staff with projects as needed
- Attend and participate in employee meetings and trainings
- Assist with quarterly inventory
- Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a physically demanding position as work requires driving a company vehicle and moving materials, equipment and needed supplies to work sites and staging. Position requires bending, stooping, bending, overhead lifting, turning, climbing ladders, and lifting of more than 70 lbs. on occasion. You will be exposed to outside weather conditions and visiting job site locations which can be muddy / wet or on uneven landscapes. Must be able to operate or be trained to use forklifts, carts, and pallet jacks. Communication is also required to perform this job. Must be able to communicate over the phone, over email, and in person.
