About the Position: This is an exciting opportunity to join the Air Mobility Command as a Recreation Aid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of indoor and outdoor recreational facilities.
Main Responsibilities: Your duties will include setting up recreation areas for scheduled activities, recording attendance, taking reservations and payment for trips and tours, notifying participants of schedule changes, arranging for equipment or tools, charging them out to participants, and checking them for condition on their return. Additionally, you will decorate community or neighborhood centers or recreation centers for special events, activities, or parties, string tennis or volleyball nets, line base lines and base paths, set up batting cages, check the established safety system of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and areas, tools, and equipment, post announcements of scheduled activities, answer inquiries about items, places, transportation, or other matters related to activities scheduled, take inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment, and help with group activities that require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. You must also be able to speak, read, and write English.
