About the Role
Air National Guard Units is seeking an experienced Airman and Family Readiness Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being of our service members and their families.
Main Responsibilities
* Serve as the family readiness and support services representative at an ANG Wing
* Coordinate with the Force Support Squadron Commander/Human Resource Officer (Director of Personnel) at each wing, Joint Force Headquarters - State (JFHQ-ST) Family Program Director, NGB Family Programs Office, and US Air Force/Major Command (MAJCOM) Family Readiness Directors
* Develop and implement a family readiness and support program
* Provide family readiness assistance at the geographic separated unit(s) (GSU)
Skills and Qualifications
* At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level
* Experience in assisting in the development and implementation of a family readiness and support program
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
* Strong organizational and time management skills
Working Conditions
* Work is typically performed in a normal office environment
* May require occasional travel for training or meetings
