Overview
As a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, modeling, and providing financial insights for Air T, Inc. an industrious American holding company established in 1980 and growing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, preparing reports, and supporting decision-making processes. You will work closely with the FP&A Manager and other departments to ensure accurate financial data and insights.
Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting
- Build and maintain financial models for individual business units and overall company performance.
- Drive budgeting and forecasting processes in alignment with strategic goals.
- Generate financial projections covering cash flow, profitability, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Compliance & Documentation
- Create and maintain bank compliance documentation while ensuring adherence to regulations and internal policies.
- Support financial compliance requirements across internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Cash Flow Management
- Create weekly and monthly cash projections to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Track cash positions, working capital and liquidity to guide strategic decisions and maintain operational stability.
- Investor Relations & Presentation Materials
- Craft investor presentations highlighting financial performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure investor materials are accurate, clear, and consistent with public company regulations.
- Board & Executive Reporting
- Create board meeting materials with actionable insights and analysis.
- Draft executive reports that clearly communicate financial performance and business insights.
- Collaboration with Subsidiaries & Cross-Functional Teams
- Work with subsidiary financial teams to gather, analyze, and unite financial data.
- Support all departments with consistent, accurate financial analysis and reporting.
- Ad Hoc Analysis & Decision Support
- Conduct targeted financial analysis to support strategic decisions and optimization efforts.
- Present data-driven recommendations to executive management and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree, CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
- 1 to 4 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced), PowerPoint and financial software tools (e.g., OneStream, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a strategic mindset and the ability to think critically.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with M&A legal and regulatory frameworks.
