What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Maintenance Licensed Tech Line 1 position at Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services?
What you need:
- High school diploma
- Effectively speak, read and write in the English language
- Working knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems
- Airframe or Powerplant license
- Working knowledge of computer-based applications
- Basic understanding of FAA regulations pertaining to FAR Part 145 repair station operations
- Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Overhaul Manuals, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Illustrated Parts Catalogues and Structural Repair Manuals
- Must provide tools as listed on required tool listing
Preferred Job Skills:
- Prior hands-on experience in a heavy maintenance environment
- Prior experience at a FAR Part 145 repair station
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl and climb and sustain those positions for an extended period of time
- Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet
- Ability to work with arms raised above head and perform repetitive tasks and motions
- Ability to fit in tight places
- Ability to work in confined spaces with respiratory equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to precisely manipulate hand tools in a variety of situations
