Position Summary:
This position is responsible as the department head for the Program Management department. This department is responsible for cost, schedule, and performance of all Airbus DS Military Aircraft, Inc. (ADSMA) programs, company risk management, program flight operations coordination, DCMA related training, and proposal development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall scope of ADSMA programs, including cost, schedule, technical performance and quality of the contracts.
- This position will coordinate with team members from other ADSMA departments to ensure program contracts are run as efficiently as possible.
- Collaborate with other ADSMA departments, Airbus US Business Development, and Airbus DS Sales and Services, to respond to customer and sales team Request for Proposals (RFP). Responsible for producing profitable and executable proposals addressing customer requirements.
- Provide current program planning and execution updates to senior management and team members with report status on the program, cost, performance, schedule, and risk.
- Ensure proper management of program planning requirements are being met.
- Coordinate with appropriate contracting and legal team members to ensure programs, planning, and integration are being managed per contractual requirements and all contract deliverables are provided to the customer on time.
- Apply guidance and redirection as required to ensure programs stay on track.
- Oversee risk management strategy and risk management plans to identify, assess, document, and manage program and company risks.
- Oversee the creation and management of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in terms of schedule and cost, working with the program management coordinators for MRO and engineering projects throughout the lifecycle of projects.
- Support collaboration with the production floor to establish production schedules, priorities, weekly and monthly production planning, and resources allocation.
- Maintain and update Programs database to track status of purchase orders, milestone dates, and other program planning requirements.
- Develop KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) for tracking maintenance activities.
- Plan and monitor projects to ensure on time, on quality, and on budget.
- Utilize the company's ERP system to report on profitability.
- Assist in bid and proposals using database of cost and data built/tracked during execution of programs.
- Regular attendance is required as outlined in the Company's attendance policy.
- This position must strictly comply with the Airbus corporate policy on Business Ethics and Compliance.
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Management, Management, or Engineering from an accredited educational institution; Master's Degree is preferred.
- Aircraft Maintenance Knowledge.
- Experience managing programs with international customers/partners desired.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience working in a planning or program management environment, preferably in an aviation or aerospace environment.
- Aircraft Maintenance knowledge.
- Experience managing programs with international customers/partners desired.
- Prior government or military contracts experience.
- Prior experience with FARs and DFARs is a plus.
- Familiarity with earned value management is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Office product knowledge and MS Project experience is a plus.
- Smartsheet's experience is a plus.

- Proficient in MS Office applications including MS Project.
Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):
- Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and presentation skills required. Must present clear and concise briefings and reports to customers and executives.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy, thoroughness, and confidentiality of work.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Travel Required:
- Less than 5% domestic travel may be required.
