Job Title : HVAC Lead Installer (Residential Service)
Employer : ER Services
Report To : HVAC Install Manager
Summary : The HVAC Lead Installer is responsible for the efficient and professional installation of residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related components. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC principles, installation best practices, and electrical wiring. The Lead Installer will also be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of installers, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities :
Lead and mentor a team of HVAC installers, providing guidance and training as needed.
Perform high-quality installations of residential HVAC systems, including :
Installing and connecting ductwork, refrigerant lines, and electrical wiring.
Setting and mounting indoor and outdoor units.
Installing and programming thermostats and control systems.
Ensuring proper system operation and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
Manage job site logistics, including material staging and equipment organization.
Ensure all installations meet local codes and regulations.
Proactively identify and address potential problems or delays.
Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC installer, with proven leadership experience.
EPA Certification (Type I and II or Universal).
NATE certification preferred.
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, installation techniques, and electrical wiring.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to perform the demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, and working in various positions.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
