We are a leading global aircraft leasing company searching for a strategic and results-oriented VP Technical to oversee all technical aspects of our Americas Region portfolio. Based in our Stamford, CT office (with a 3-day/week in-office hybrid schedule), you will play a pivotal role in driving success across aircraft acquisitions, leases, sales, and ongoing fleet management.
Prepare for Takeoff in These Key Areas:
- Lead Technical Operations: Oversee all technical aspects of aircraft transitions, new deliveries, last lease returns, and ongoing portfolio management within the Americas Region.
- Drive Strategic Acquisitions & Sales: Conduct meticulous aircraft and lease due diligence, contribute to deal negotiations, and provide technical expertise throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Champion Technical Excellence: Manage maintenance reserve disbursement claims, review work scopes, oversee annual inspections, and ensure adherence to EASA/FAA airworthiness regulations.
- Be a Collaborative Partner: Work cross-functionally with internal teams, external vendors (MROs, OEMs), and clients to drive efficient operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Embrace Innovation & Efficiency: Continuously seek opportunities to optimize technical processes, leverage technology, and drive improvements within the Technical Department.
Do you possess the Flight Plan for Success?
- Aviation Expertise: You have a relevant undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience) combined with an Airframe & Powerplant license or equivalent FAA/EASA rating.
- Industry Veteran: 10 years of proven experience in aircraft leasing, with in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, regulations, and best practices.
- Technical Acumen: You're well-versed in EASA/FAA airworthiness and conformity regulations, possess familiarity with aircraft leasing and OEM asset management systems, and excel in technical analysis.
- Leadership & Communication: You thrive in leading teams, fostering collaboration, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Results-Driven & Detail-Oriented: You possess strong project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and a relentless focus on driving results.
- Stamford-based: Able to work in our Stamford, CT office 3 days per week.
