We are seeking a passionate, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Tasting Room Sales and Hospitality Associate at our Vancouver location. Responsibilities:
1. Airfield History
- Learn and share the unique and compelling story of Airfield Estates with guests.
2. Customer Service:
- Warmly greet visitors upon their arrival, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Provide outstanding customer service by guiding guests through wine tastings and sharing information about our wines, winemaking process, estate vineyard, and more.
- Be attentive to the needs of every guest, ensuring they feel like they are being well taken care of.
- Ensure an enjoyable experience for all by maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing tasting room environment.
- Assist in the set-up, execution, and clean-up of tasting room events, wine club events, VIP tastings, or private events.
- Maintain a friendly, positive, courteous, respectful, and professional demeanor toward guests and fellow employees.
3. Wine Sales:
- Effectively promote and sell Airfield Wines to guests, encouraging purchases.
- Actively promote and pitch the wine club, understanding its options and perks.
- Actively promote upcoming events.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the tasting room.
4. Product Knowledge:
- Stay informed about Airfield Wines, upcoming events, our vineyard, and winemaking techniques to provide accurate and engaging information to guests.
5. Teamwork:
- Work efficiently and give 100% daily effort in a fast-paced environment, carrying out the day-to-day operations of the tasting room.
- Maximize productivity during periods without customers with housekeeping, restocking, food prep, and more.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with other members of the Airfield Crew to ensure a cohesive and positive work environment.
Schedule:
- Primarily Weekends, Occasional Weekdays or Evening Events
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work weekends and flexible schedules.
- Must be able to obtain a Class 12 MAST Permit and Washington State Food Worker Card.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills and experience with POS systems.
- Ability to manage basic cash register transactions, including sales and membership account maintenance.
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or sales preferred.
- Knowledge and passion for wine and the wine industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude at all times.
- Ability to be a team player and work well with others.
- Physical ability to safely lift and move cases of wine (45 to 50 lbs.) regularly.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods (8 hours per day).
- Must be able to work weekends and flexible schedules.
Wage: $17 per hour Tips Wine Club Signup Bonus
