What’s the Job?
Create manufacturing documentation for job specific designs. Will include actions such as creating and editing manufacturing drawings, taking care of DXFs for laser burning, and adding/maintaining Bill of Materials in ERP.
Position Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability desired. Willing to train the right candidate.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D program and PDM software.
- Experience in entering items and Bills of Material accurately into ERP program.
- Working knowledge of welding symbols, machining symbols, and GDT.
- Ability to perform assignments with instruction regarding tasks required and expected results, generally under minimal supervision from managers or designers.
- Ability to respond to all inquiries from other internal departments relating to drafting issues/questions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of the job, may lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Involves a variety of movements including sitting, standing, walking, and contorting as needed to work in awkward positions while working to fully understand and/or solve issues. The noise level is usually moderate to high. Majority of the work is done indoors.
Job Duties & Skills
To be successful in this job with AirPro, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Produce detailed assembly, welding, and machining drawings accurately.
- Process drawing corrections as required.
- Communicate with manufacturing personnel to resolve drafting errors, insufficient information on drawings and other drafting related issues.
- Make DXF’s on required parts for laser burning equipment to read.
- Create Bill of Materials in ERP.
- Provide informal mentoring to other team members by answering questions and cultivating a team environment and open communication culture.
- Ensure quality standards and processes are used.
- Ensure safety guidelines are being met.
- Use of approved safety glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection when in the shop.
- Perform all job duties in a manner safe to self and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
