AirQuest Environmental, Inc. is an environmental and industrial hygiene consulting firm that offers environmental services for both public and private sector clients at sites located throughout the United States and internationally. AirQuest specializes in providing consulting services to the following sectors : asbestos, lead-based paint and radon, moisture intrusion and mold, indoor air quality and industrial hygiene.

AirQuest is seeking an experienced administrative coordinator who will be responsible for the efficient operation of our Brandon, Florida office through administrative support for our technical teams.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive and adaptable individual with a positive attitude to provide support for our management and field staff teams. The ideal candidate will eventually transition to a more technically challenging role to perform a variety of specialized paraprofessional duties including field research, performance and documentation of field observations and report writing,

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support : Input field data, review technical reports, coordinate schedules, communicate with vendors and clients, process incoming and outgoing packages, manage office processes, and other clerical duties as required.
  • Client Support : Provide professional and timely support to clients, with effective oral and written correspondence.
  • Technical Team Support : Provide support to technical teams, including occasional on-site project field assistance within the State of Florida.
  • Process Optimization : Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaboration with Management : Assist in management of deadlines, easily adapt to changes in management / project priorities and schedules, and manage supply and equipment inventory.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and PDF software
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Valid drivers license and a reliable means of transportation
  • Must be able to read, understand, speak, and write proficiently in English
  • Ability to occasionally work outside in high heat and humidity
  • Preferences

  • College degree, or seeking a degree, in a scientific or related field
  • At least 1 years of office administration experience
  • Experience with office management software such as Deltek Vantagepoint or other similar software program
  • Ability to carry and use a ladder, use basic hand tools, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and equipment necessary for a given project and must be able to wear required personal protective equipment such as hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses, protective footwear, and additional safety equipment such as fall protection harnesses
  • Position Information

  • Full-Time (40 hours) in office
  • Typical hours 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 30 PM Monday-Friday. Additional hours are occasionally requested
