The Operation Control Center Weekend Manager on Duty reports to the Director of Flight Operations. This position is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operation of Airshare, including Managed, Fractional, and Charter trips. This position will coordinate with Maintenance Control regarding AOG aircraft recovery. MODs have the responsibility of ensuring the operation and daily departmental tasks are completed each day as required. You will be working the weekend shift, Saturday Tuesday, 4/10-hour shifts. Shift differential added for working full weekend. This role is not remote or hybrid, you will be required to work in the office located in Overland Park, KS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Direct the OCC in response to daily weather issues, fleet optimization, AOG recovery, high-profile trip coordination, and consultation on crew movement and changes
- Demonstrate leadership qualities that align with Airshares core values daily
- Have a thorough understanding of the systems used for the purpose of aircraft scheduling, flight following, flight crewing, and trip building
- Have a thorough understanding of all policies and procedures relevant to the OCC
- Have a thorough understanding of Airshare products and services
- Act independently and apply technical expertise to evaluate ongoing operations while working hand in hand with the OCC Functional teams (and/or delegated representatives) to ensure each flight is carefully planned and executed
- Oversee and monitor all flights in progress, coordinating mission changes, priorities, and deviations necessary to ensure the most efficient use of resources while maintaining safety
- Identify and resolve challenging problems or issues that will impact the accomplishment of the companys strategic objectives
- Conduct necessary coordination and contingency planning in response to delays, changes, cancellations, or redirection from management
- Evaluate and escalate issues to executive leadership when needed
- Assist departments within the OCC as needed
- Assist Department Managers with performance management, training, and progressive discipline for teams as necessary with guidance from Human Resources
- Other duties as assigned
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelors degree AND/OR previous management experience and demonstrated leadership skills
- Requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of FAA regulations, including duty and Flight Limitations
- Requires a background in one of the following, Flight Control, Crew Scheduling, Ground Operations, Flight Operation, Maintenance Control, or Owner Services
- Previous FAA Part 135/121 Airline experience is required
