What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Airshare?
Airshare is recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector with extensive experience working within a Quality Control aviation operations environment for an Air Carrier Certificate holder and complying with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. The candidate must have a strong background in aircraft maintenance records review and Part 135 Conformity inspections. The Quality Control Inspector will report to the Director of Maintenance and Chief Inspector.
- Scheduled and unscheduled return to service maintenance documentation audits per the Maintenance & Operations Manual and internal audits as required.
- Aircraft Maintenance Tracking Program Audit/Review for accuracy
- Ensure aircraft maintenance logs, maintenance records, reports, forms, and parts are properly documented
- Aircraft maintenance records research for Part 135 conformity and FAA submission
- Interface with qualified maintenance vendors/repair station providers as required. Ensure all contract maintenance vendors and/or personnel are qualified.
- Perform contract maintenance provider audits
Qualified candidates will have FAA Technician certification with an Airframe & Powerplant rating, a minimum of 5 years' experience related to aircraft maintenance, and 5 years' experience in a Part 135 and/or Part 145 Quality Control environment. This position is onsite at our Shelton, CT office.
Additional qualifications:
Must have an excellent working knowledge of FAA Regulation
Maintenance Tracking Program (CAMP) experience preferred
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be Self-motivated and can work independently while keeping a team perspective
Must have a working knowledge of computers and software: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
Ability to prioritize competing issues and coordinate resolutions with associated departments
Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to details is a high priority
