You will leverage your expertise in Linux and Windows OS, server and edge hardware, storage devices, and cloud platforms to shape product architecture, enhance functionality, and drive innovation. This role requires a strong technical background combined with problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex system issues, optimize product performance, and ensure seamless integration across software and hardware ecosystems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, software development, QA, manufacturing, and customer support, to bring innovative solutions to market efficiently and effectively.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop product solutions ensuring compatibility across Linux and Windows environments, server hardware, storage systems, edge devices, and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers to define product requirements, specifications, and technical feasibility.
- Prototype, test, and validate product designs to ensure they meet performance, reliability, security, and scalability goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, networking, storage systems, and cloud-based integrations.
- Optimize Linux OS performance, including kernel tuning, system configuration, and resource management for edge and server environments.
- Research, create, and provide scripts, tests, and procedures on updating OS versions
- Work with edge devices, IoT platforms, and cloud-based infrastructures to ensure seamless product integration.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications using CAD, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure products are designed for manufacturability, scalability, and maintainability, collaborating with manufacturing and supply chain teams.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams, customers, and partners during development, testing, and deployment.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve product designs and architectures.
- Contribute to automation and DevOps practices, enhancing system deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Assist with creating Quality Control and Assurance testing checklist based on products expected use.
- Work onsite with at the Redmond Office four days a week with the production and development teams.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Product Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role, preferably in a hardware-software integrated environment.
- Strong expertise in Linux OS including system administration, kernel configuration, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Windows OS administration and integration in mixed-OS environments.
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancers).
- Experience with server and edge computing hardware, storage systems (SAN/NAS, RAID configurations), and virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including deployment, management, and optimization of cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for system management, performance monitoring, and deployment automation.
- Experience working with edge computing and IoT platforms is a plus.
- Knowledge of security best practices related to hardware, OS, networking, and cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and provide innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
