Job Description:
The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service repair appointments for customers, consulting with customers to determine what repairs are required, and writing up work orders.
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
As Service Advisor at Airstream you will thoroughly explain repairs and the process to customers, assure that all of the customers’ concerns are addressed in a professional and timely manner, and survey wrecked or damaged units to prepare estimates for insurance companies.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Order necessary parts prior to service appointments.
- Sell additional services and accessories during customer interaction.
- Maintain Service Schedule to meet demand. Also maintain online schedule.
- Develop and implement promotional opportunities. Consult with suppliers regarding new aftermarket accessories.
- Answer telephone calls for appointments, technical advice, progress reports, and insurance authorizations.
- Call customers to obtain authorization to perform needed repairs.
- Consult with Service Manager and technicians regarding repairs, parts and completion times
- Consult with Billing Clerks on customer invoices.
- Update Service Manager on problematic scheduling, repairs or customers.
- Develop, implement, and maintain computerized spreadsheets for activity reports, monthly specials, and estimates. Use digital camera and maintain image files.
- Other duties include assisting in retail store and handling overflow calls from the Customer Relations Group.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Business Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
- RVIA Certification preferred
- Spader training
- Intermediate computer, telephone, fax, and digital camera skills
- Requires a good communicator that deals with customers and other departments including parts, production and engineering.
