The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for inventory tracking of all parts and materials in support of AIRTEC operations. This position is responsible for the safe handling, inventory and processing of aircraft and other materials as required by the company, regulatory requirements, and best practices.   The Inventory Control Manager must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and needs of the business. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Essential Functions

  • Developing and maintaining effective Best Practice Indicators (KPI) for inventory management at all AIRTEC site operations.
  • Keep an accurate count of all parts received by vendor, part number and serial number.
  • Perform incoming and outgoing inspections of all parts per company RSQCM.
  • Maintain serviceable parts separate from repairable and rejected parts.
  • Maintain parts inventory up-to-date and keep parts room clean and well organized.
  • Manage all off units, cores, and loaners.
  • Tracking, receiving, binning, shipping, and issuing of aircraft parts.
  • Maintain GFE Inventory and segregate by contract requirements.
  • Process serviceable and unserviceable part returns.
  • Perform Flight Spares Kit inventories.
  • Ensure parts are available for daily maintenance workload.
  • Responsible to execute monthly and weekly tasks as assigned such as Calibration & Shelf-Life review, Cycle/Inventory counts.
  • Utilize computer system to maintain and update inventory in a timely manner.
  • Monitors shipping and station supplies; advises Supervisor of shortages and requirements.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of moderately heavy weight objects (up to 70 pounds); controlling or driving materials and handling equipment in a congested warehouse environment. 
  • Responsible for filing DD1149 forms. Inventory, segregation, and Accounting of Government Furnished Equipment.
  • Responsible for inventory and issue of company owned tools and equipment.
  • Travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites to develop and integrate company inventory policies and procedures. Train site team members.
  • Maintain a copy of all FAA 8130-3 forms and associated documentation for all parts received.
  • Assist in quarterly/annual audits of physical inventory.
  • Review inventory for obsolescence. 
  • Work closely with the Accounting Department to ensure accurate reporting of inventory for all locations.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Candidate must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • This role requires strong interpersonal attributes, including high ethical standards, strong organizational and communication skills, high attention to detail, highly self-motivated and a team player.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills with adherence to deadlines.
  • Participate in compliance meetings. 
  • Work closely with the Export Compliance Officer on all export/import compliance matters.
  • Commodity Code Assignment - Work with the Export Compliance Officer to continually develop, monitor and control processes to assure compliance with the U.S. Census Bureau Foreign Trade Statistic HTS Codes. 
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Use of inventory software that correlates movement with financial applications for inventory management and P&L impact.
  • Must possess strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Hazmat Certified preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • May supervise employees supporting parts / inventory management and shipping / receiving if needed.

Travel

  • Infrequent CONUS and OCONUS travel is expected for this position. Candidate must have a valid passport.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in aviation parts inventory management.
  • Excellent PC skills, including MS office (Word, Excel and Power Point).

Physical Requirements

  • Job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, multi-function printers and smartphones. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use of hands and fingers to handle, grip or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and to talk or hear. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
  • Position regularly requires standing, walking, use of hands and fingers to handle, grip or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and to talk or hear. 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs at times.
