Maintenance Tech 3rd Shift

General Summary

As a maintenance technician you will be responsible for performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on building systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety of the facility, often responding to emergency repairs when needed; duties may include diagnosing issues, sourcing replacement parts, and maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities.

AMI is looking for a maintenance technician who is detail-oriented, a problem solver and quick on their feet. Decision-making skills are crucial for this job, as you will need to quickly analyze problems, identify the root cause(s), and choose the most effective solution. You must have a technical knowledge and be able to clearly and effectively communicate with others in order to understand work orders, relay information, and collaborate with colleagues.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out daily instructions and assignments given by Team Leader or superior
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance activity
• Improve equipment by carrying out corrective maintenance activity
• Trouble-shoot and repair equipment using professional skills and abilities
• Work safely - following all safety instructions and standards
• Communicate all daily activity
• Submit all paperwork at end of shift

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to inform and instruct others regarding problems and preventive countermeasures
• Record-keeping skills necessary to inform and update work status
• Math skills necessary to calculate angles, dimensions, and sizes
• Ability to interpret and understand technical information and drawings
• Effective trouble-shooting skills
• Capable of using tools required on the job
• Maintenance knowledge sufficient to determine proper methods for repair
• Effective decision-making skills regarding machine repair and professional behavior
• Ability to work well independently
• Effective verbal and written communication skills necessary for both internal and external contact
• Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure achievement of section, department, or company plan
• PLC troubleshooting experience

Minimum Level of Preparation & Training Required

• A 2-year degree in a maintenance related discipline or equivalent work experience is required.

Salary Range: $27.60/hour - $36.30/hour $1/hour Shift Differential
