Job Summary:
The Manufacturing and Production Team Leader coordinates, serves as the eyes and ears to the Group Leader and monitors the activities and workflow on their respective line to ensure that all production objectives and quality standards are achieved according to pre-established goals, standards and metrics.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads the production effort within their assigned department and team
- Identifies training needs of direct reports and ensures that all Team Members have the required skills necessary to achieve production and quality standards.
- Monitors and evaluates Team Member performance and makes recommendations for promotions, performance improvement plans or disciplinary action.
- Consistently fosters an environment that promotes teamwork and mutual respect between all direct reports.
- Ensures that team members are trained according to standard operating procedures and approves and updates Team Member Training Checklist.
- Maintain operations data, conducts end of shift checklist, cost records and line production reports.
- Communicates daily production issues in pre and post shift meetings.
- Communicates with Offline Team Members as necessary to resolve breakdowns on the production line.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all manufacturing and safety guidelines and standards.
- Report safety incidents and conducts Safety investigations immediately following an incident. Works closely with Safety Department to determine root cause.
- Participate in Kazan's to improve quality, minimize scrap, and increase productivity and safety
Accountabilities:

- Maintaining production standards and achieving target availability
- Complete all reports (EOS)
- Maintain acceptable levels of TM Morale-Increase TM Satisfaction in areas of "Communication"
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Production and Processing Quality- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, 3 Pillar, and other standards and techniques for maximizing quality and availability.
- Mechanical - general knowledge of machines and tools, measurement instruments, automation/robotics, maintenance and repair. Computer Knowledge
- - MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Active Listening - giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Speaking - talking to others clearly to convey information effectively.
