Aitkin High School is in need of a 1.0 FTE Family Consumer Science Teacher starting in the Fall of the 2025 school year. The full-time position servers the students in our Middle/Senior High School (Grades 7-12). A Minnesota Teacher Certification is required and the ideal candidate should be CTE certified. The Family Consumer educator must be creative and innovative as the district has developed several classes within the FCS department. The Family Consumer Science classes being taught include: Foods I & II, Restaurant & Culinary Skills, Child Development, Housing and Interior Design, and FCS 8. The Culinary program includes a full commercial kitchen with a 24-seat dining area and six station kitchen lab fully equiped. The main classroom is equiped with a Smartboard, Apple tv and a sewing lab. Please attach cover letter, resume, application and credentials and 3 letters of recommendation.

Aitkin is home to the Riverwood Healthcare facility with over 60 physicians, specialists and surgeons. The city of Aitkin is also the home of the Aitkin County seat.
