    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Earth & Space Science Educator to join our team of educators. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where all students can develop their understanding of science concepts, problem-solving abilities and critical-thinking skills. This educator will play a key role in helping students achieve academic success while also supporting their personal growth as critical thinkers and responsible citizens.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement engaging, standards-based science instruction that meets the diverse needs of students.
    • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assessment methods to support student learning and mastery of science concepts.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
    • Support students in developing problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom.
    • Integrate technology and real-world applications to make math relevant and engaging for students.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success and ensure alignment with district goals.
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
    • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in science instruction and education.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
    • Valid teaching license in Earth and Space Science 9-12 (or ability to obtain one before the start date).
    • Experience teaching at the secondary level is preferred but not required.
    • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
    • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and supporting diverse learners.
    • Passion for education and student success.
    • Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families

    Salary Range: $44,182 - $90,327 for 1.0 FTE
