They are seeking a bilingual Japanese Customer Service Associate to join our Kona branch on the Big Island of Hawaii as a Destination Concierge for a leading Japan-based travel company. In this customer-facing role, you will provide safe, comfortable, and personalized support while promoting the unique charm of Hawaii Island.
*Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
*Working Hours:
- Full-time (8 hours per day) or part-time (negotiable)
- Standard full-time hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 5-day shift schedule including one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
- Work hours may vary depending on customer arrival/departure times or events.
- For part-time employees, work hours and days are negotiable.

Job Summary
- Assist walk-in customers and handle phone inquiries at the Kona branch
- Respond to questions about tours and activities on Hawaii Island
- Process reservations, changes, and payments for optional tours, restaurants, and events
- Maintain and update the customer database and collect up-to-date travel information
- Replenish brochures and materials; assist with creating and updating visitor information
- Handle emergencies such as complaints or flight delays; provide interpretation when needed
- Provide support at Kona Airport (greeting upon arrival and departure, guiding to transfer vehicles, etc.)

Requirements
- Native-level Japanese (verbal, written, and reading comprehension)
- Conversational-level English (email and phone communication with clients)
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Ability to operate internal customer management systems (in English)
- Strong sense of hospitality and responsibility
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the travel industry
- Ability to commute to the Kona branch and Kona Airport by personal vehicle
- Holders of a valid U.S. work visa
