Job Title: Estimator - Heavy Civil, Roads & Bridges
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000 Annually
Job Description:
Aivirtrix is seeking an Estimator – Heavy Civil, Roads & Bridges to join our team. Reporting directly to the VP of Estimating, this role will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing historical data, and supporting project bidding efforts. Responsibilities:
· Calculate various statistical data, including quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per person-hour, and equipment costs.
· Research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines for future estimates.
· Participate in developing project updates and bid package estimate documents.
· Maintain files of working documents for backup to estimating figures.
· Assist in monitoring conceptual estimates with actual cost data.
· Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution (preferred).
Experience:
· 5 years of construction estimating, engineering, or related experience preferred.
· (8 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.)
Technical Skills:
· Strong knowledge of construction materials and material designations (e.g., W section and HP section).
· General understanding of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
· Ability to calculate mathematical extensions and interpret engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
· Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Excel.
