Metal Fabrication Specialist

Job Summary:

This position requires strong mechanical skills which will aid the employee in the assembly of the units they are responsible for building, such as modular data center doors, energy reservation system units, air supported doors and structures. Welding experience is preferred but not required. Pay for welding experience is $19.75 hour.

Job Duties:

Ability to read and understand work orders, written procedures, instructions and drawings

Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE

Ability to maintain productions standards for this area

Read blueprints, drawings or other customer documentation

Must be able to grind panels

Ability to use hand and power tools and variety of different saws

Cut material to customer requirements

Assemble materials to customer requirements

Construct custom pallets

Package product to customer requirements

Keep work area clean and organized

Constant attention to quality and being detailed orientated

Physical Demands:

Must be able stand for long periods of time, use hands to lift, and carry

Lifting of piece parts to be welded, not in excess of 50 lbs. and placing onto a table

Frequently carry materials/tools up to 10 lbs. around the work area

Ability to occasionally climb up and down ladders to assemble doors

This position requires constant use of drills, hammers, and other hand tools, up to 7 lbs. from a squatting/kneeling positions to overhead positions.

Must be able to occasionally lift 52 lbs. (155 lbs. three-person lift) door from 6 inches to 62 inches on a pallet

Occasionally lift 41 lbs. between two people to assemble ceiling onto frames

Occasionally flip doors while working on them

Occasional 25 lbs. cart push/cart pull
