Estimating Manager - Metal Fabrication

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator/Project Manager to oversee and lead the estimating and completion of fabricated metal products, including stamping, forming, and laser cutting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background metal fabrication estimating, demonstrating the ability to build effective teams, negotiate contracts, and ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget. This role requires a keen understanding of cost control, metal fabrication estimating, and leadership in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3 employees in a contract manufacturing company.
• Lead in the estimating of quoting for contract manufacturing to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
• Develop relationships and foster strong relationships with customers.
• Identify sales and pricing opportunities to expand margin.
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
• Utilize quoting software for job documentation, collaboration, and communication with team members.
• Identify cost containment opportunities from labor and/or raw material spend.
• Prepare detailed reports on financial performance for management

Qualifications

• 2-5 years contract manufacturing estimating experience, preferable in metal fabrication.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written to convey information clearly across various stakeholders.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
