This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and handling both non-attest and attest engagements, including compilations, reviews, and audits.

The Accounting Senior plays a key role in managing client financial records and delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and handling both non-attest and attest engagements, including compilations, reviews, and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP).
- Conduct and oversee the preparation of both non-attest and attest work, including compilations, reviews, and audits.
- Plan and execute audit engagements, including risk assessment, testing, and documentation.
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations for client decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of audit work papers and findings.
- Monitor compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
- Support clients with tax planning and advisory services.
- Reconcile accounts, ensure accuracy of financial records, and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to streamline accounting and auditing processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, ensuring quality and accuracy of their work.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing audits, tax returns, and financial statements.
- Hands-on experience with non-attest and attest engagements.
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards (e.g., GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other financial tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with current tax laws and regulations.
- Experience in client interaction, including providing tax advisory and audit findings.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and preparation for various entity types.
