Mechanical Engineering Designer
AJH Design is seeking a Mechanical Designer and drafter with 3 to 5 years of mechanical systems design experience. Candidates must be familiar with interdisciplinary project coordination and should be a on track for professional engineering licensure.
Candidates should be experienced in mechanical heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water supply and sanitary waste systems. Candidates should be capable of completing project designs and documents with limited guidance. Designers must be capable of drafting design documents utilizing Revit, as well as leading team members through project completion. Multi-tasking and detail oriented.
A strong knowledge of building construction methods is essential. Provide project quality and coordination reviews, client interaction, project budgeting, and schedules. Revit experience is required.
Responsibilities:
Design and documentation of building mechanical and plumbing systems.
Project team coordination.
Site inspections and evaluations.
Project coordination with consultants.
Design document quality reviews.
Deliver products with a high degree of technical accuracy.
Cost estimating.
Project schedule control.
Project communications.
Education and Skills:
EIT preferred.
AAS/BS in Mechanical Systems Engineering, or related field.
3 years Revit or AutoCAD experience required.
Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup beneficial.
Computer skills: Microsoft Office.
