Engineering Manager Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Strong leadership & Change Management experience.
- Pre-engineered metal building manufacturing experience.
- CAPEX (budgeting) design.
- This position will lead a team of engineers, CAD technicians, and detailers.
- Working knowledge of statistical techniques.
- Root cause analysis tools.
- Strong working knowledge of metal forming equipment and welding (MIG & TIG).
- Hands on experience and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and electronics.
- Develop an engineering strategy and implement initiatives to support the team in achieving business growth through production and quality goals.
- Collaborate with external vendors to meet production targets, including fostering vendor development to enhance throughput and streamline operations.
- Establish the strategic direction for the engineering team to promote organic growth while ensuring profitability and optimal resource utilization.
- Lead and nurture a high-performing engineering team through effective goal setting, performance management, and the development of production metrics to achieve overarching business objectives.
- Supervise mechanical engineers in production, inspection and review of tools.
- Ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs.
- Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally
- Experience and proven ability to implement effective systems, processes, and metrics.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 products and ability to learn and use ERP systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
