Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation and operation of various mechanical systems
- Develop and present schematic design proposals
- Identify technologies to improve operational
- Program an automation process
- PLC programming (Allen Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLC’s
- Modify existing programming
- Knowledge of receiving bays, HTST’s, separators, cheese making equipment, evaporators, dryers, CIP systems (multi-user)
- Field commissioning and startup of instrumentation and control systems
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve automation issues
- Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems, including schematics, manuals, and operating procedures
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source necessary components for automation projects
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of automation equipment
- Optimize automation processes for efficiency and productivity
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automation technology
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Strong working knowledge of motor control and automation systems
- PLC programming
- HMI programming
- Experience in the dairy, food and/or beverage industries
- Familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
