Pieper Automation is hiring an Application Engineer in Wrightstown, WI. This position will work under the direction of the Department Supervisor and will support the project managers with project work. In addition, this position will source materials, find substitutes, coordinate shop and design team hand offs, and answer any questions shop or engineering may have about the project.

Responsibilities
- Depending on the level of experience, the Application Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Work with Project Manager to develop project plans consisting of budget, timeline, resource requirements, BOM’s, test forms, and other project documentation
- Review bid/spec plans, perform takeoff and estimates.
- Develop plan and estimates for open-specification proposals.
- Select appropriate hardware and instrumentation for application.
- Assist in the writing customer proposal letters.
- Work with Project Manager to track and manage project cost / performance.
- Assist in the coordination of projects with engineering and production team.
- 2 year degree in engineering or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial controls preferred
- Communication skills and technical writing skills.
- Friendly, professional demeanor; ability to follow through on tasks and work independently.
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
- Individual must be able to work independently, meet deadlines and budgets, work on multiple jobs simultaneously, and fulfill all job requirements within a timely fashion
- The ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Be willing and capable of completing personal development plans for self and subordinates preferred. Desire to learn and grow personally and professionally required
- Ability to effectively utilize basic Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Office environment requiring sitting and standing.
- Travel to various industrial sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise and the need to stand and walk.
