Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bidding Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in winning new business and retaining existing clients by overseeing the development of bids that meet client requirements and company standards. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as background in construction/architecture, to ensure successful bid submissions.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the bid process, including preparation of required bid forms for bids and proposals.
- Oversee the entire bidding process from initial identification of opportunities to final submission, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Maintain a comprehensive and organized bid process, including estimates/quotes, bid bonds, subcontractor quotes, and other relevant documentation.
- Work closely with estimators, vendors to gather information, to ensure accurate and complete bids.
- Maintain bid list, bid files and records. Track bid results and feedback to improve future performance.
- Effectively communicate with management providing updates on bid status, and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Identify and address potential issues or challenges during bidding process. ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure that all bids comply with company policies and client requirements.
- Manage multiple bids and deadlines efficiently, ensuring all submissions are completed on time.
- Research bids and proposal opportunities, including future opportunities.
Experience/Requirements
- Proven experience and understanding in construction plans and architecture spec book.
- Ability to oversee bids from conception to submission.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Reading and understanding client bid opportunities, deadlines and submission requirements.
- Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results drive environment.
- Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prior experience in a preconstruction, bid or proposal role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on building relationships.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in work.
- Proficient in Quick books software, Textura, Procore, RS Means Data or Gordian data and Google docs, and google spreadsheets, and email.
- Office skills, typing, spelling accuracy, and telephone etiquette.
