Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience in various healthcare settings, including outpatient clinics and emergency medicine.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment availability.
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and other necessary information for medical records.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with X-Ray procedures when required.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointments for outpatient services and follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
- Experience in geriatrics, medical-surgical settings, or both is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with inpatient care practices in Level I and Level II Trauma Centers.
- Knowledge of outpatient clinic operations and emergency medicine protocols.
- Ability to perform basic X-Ray tasks as part of the patient care process.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate patient records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
- Bilingual
