Position Overview: The Compliance Administrator is responsible for tracking compliance deadlines and collaborating with property managers, assistants, and external vendors on actionable regulatory items including violations, permits, renewals and all other time sensitive matters pertaining to a growing residential real estate portfolio.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Open, sort and scan/distribute mail daily
- Electronically sign as AKAM on Department of Building (DOB) filings following Board approval process
- Execution and tracking of window guards, fire safety, multiple dwelling registrations (MDR), DHCR, biennials, bedbug forms, etc.
- Populating and regularly updating compliance spreadsheets and record books.
- Coordinate scheduling of required inspections for boilers, backflow preventers, gravity tanks, sprinklers/standpipes, elevators, cooling towers, and oil tanks.
- Maintain all associated electronic and paper files
- Process check-requests, online invoices, and electronic payments
- Coordinate with building staff on completion of building items
- Coordinate with service vendors, expediters, and attorneys to ensure resolution of building violations and process penalties as required
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues
- Ability to track multiple projects & meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Excel Office and SharePoint
- Able to work independently and be a team player
- Knowledge of regulatory agencies and protocols preferred
