Position Overview : The Video Editor works closely with the Video Production Manager and multiple stakeholders to produce a variety of video segments for distribution on social media, websites, and other digital outlets. These videos are primarily technical in nature, but certain deliverables include narrative / storytelling elements as well. Essential Duties & Responsibilities : Edit video content covering a range of technical subjects to support the Mastercam product line and associated services. Develop video content and digital assets in line with company brand standards and guidelines to be used throughout the organization. Organize, tag, and manage creative content and assets for use across multiple streams of production. Work on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines. Stay current with advances in the technical communications profession, technology, and tools through reading and continuing education. Work with stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved. Assist with planning to schedule work, determine deadlines, and create plans to achieve desired goals. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or related field. 3 - 5 years of experience editing video for digital distribution. Working knowledge of Adobe Premier, Apple Final Cut, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Affects, as well as Adobe Audition or Audacity. Proven experience with compressing video for web and broadcast distribution. Excellent verbal / written communication skills and the ability to provide information in a succinct and easy to understand manner. Strong ability to work independently, with self-direction, to complete tasks and projects in a pro-active manner. Proven ability to multi-task and to manage several projects / tasks at once while projecting a positive outward demeanor. Natural eye for detail in visual media.
