Respond to cyber attacks in real time
As Security Architect in the SOCC, you'll engage in critical network and attack-related events for our customers. As frontline defense, you will own our central alerting system, detecting and mitigating the impact of attacks. In this expeditious environment, your exceptional support to customers impacts the future of them and Akamai.
As a Security Architect, you will be responsible for :
- Engaging in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks
- Performing advanced packet analysis to identify attacks and threats to our network
- Managing and documenting technical issues, responses and requests to ensure information is recorded and updated
- Providing support to customers to remedy and resolve network and connectivity issues
- Communicating with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on your mitigation and analysis

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $70,500 - $146,500 / year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
