In this key role, you will update systems, troubleshoot problems, and provide hands-on support for IT issues within our organization. Ensures proper functioning of the information processing system and oversee necessary upgrades.
What You’ll Do:
- Install network cabling and other network equipment
- Workstation/laptop set-up
- Installing business applications and programs
- Providing Help Desk level 1, and general triage to end users
- Assist staff with technical support and training
- Monitor and test networks to ensure efficiency
- Install and upgrade anti-virus software as needed
- Maintain regular server backups
- Respond to client requests in a timely fashion
- Ability to troubleshoot and isolate problems, and escalate when appropriate
- Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems
- Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT
- Exposure to Cybersecurity (can be trained)
- 5% travel may be required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance
- Familiarity with installing servers, server operating systems and relevant server programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Proficient in software installation
- Attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
