About the Role

As a Senior Strategist for our Data Analytics & Business Intelligence team, you're passionate about gathering and analyzing first and third-party data to provide meaningful insights to internal and external teams across various industries, aiding overall business development and clients to achieve their goals.


You will partner with key internal and client stakeholders to help develop strategic initiatives that typically include, but are not limited to, audience analysis and pain point mapping, targeting strategy, competitive research, creative and content strategy development, projection modeling, measurement strategy development, and identification of test and learn opportunities for AKDM clients.


The ideal candidate would have experience with measurement platforms, such as Google Analytics 4, a broad understanding of digital marketing channels and their impact on performance metrics, as well as the ability to conduct competitive and industry trend research to support the Intelligence team. This will allow you to synthesize complex analytics data to derive compelling insights to support consulting client projects.

Your passion for connecting client needs with a technical solution that directly impacts ROI provides the basis for many crucial downstream processes; complex analysis, data products, and digital marketing performance measurement.


Your broad digital media knowledge, from paid media platforms and industry trends to digital research/CRM tools and organic digital channels, will also allow you to work closely with: the paid media team to help formulate media strategy and relevant reporting, with the client success team to help identify and ideate new products that provide added value to AKDM clients, and with the analytics teams to help implement automated reports and facilitate data analysis.


The salary range for the Senior Strategist, Business Intelligence & Strategy position is between $75,000 and $85,000. The actual annual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as the individual’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications. AKDM does not offer relocation assistance or sponsorship. This is a hybrid role and we’re looking for someone to come into our Dumbo office 1 - 2 times a week.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple business teams to assess their objectives and develop tracking and tagging strategies that enable individuals and teams to measure their success effectively.
  • Gather, sort and organize client’s raw data from platforms such as Google Analytics, SEMRush, or client CRM platforms to provide internal teams with the relevant data needed to execute deliverables
  • Identify and help troubleshoot issues when sorting through clients' data, such as inconsistent tracking, to better understand how we can leverage available information to tell a story
  • Utilize research tools and resources to aid in digital strategy development
  • Conduct competitive and industry research to aid competitive analysis
  • Help uncover key creative content requirements from conducted research to influence general creative approach across paid media platforms
  • Pull and organize historical data to inform financial modeling and projections
  • Help identify paid media testing opportunities
  • Assists in the development of digital customer journeys and digital ecosystems
  • Build custom dashboards for clients and internal teams across various industries to report on relevant KPI´s utilizing data visualization tools, such as Looker
  • Develop ad-hoc reporting templates for clients across various industries to report on relevant KPI’s
  • Identify relevant KPI’s when analyzing data and building reports
  • Participate in internal and external trainings to improve client growth


Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4-5 years of Digital Marketing experience. Ideally, you also have agency or consulting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Ideally, 4 years of agency or consulting experience with digital marketing, audience research, digital analytics, and reporting working with web analytics tools
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and other web analytics platforms, with the ability to configure and interpret reports
  • Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies, identify the root cause, and collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues
  • Work well across functional teams, bridging the gap between technical experts and business managers
  • Proven ability to identify trends, patterns and insights from data, and then devise ways to turn insight into action.
  • Self-starter: Someone who thrives in a deadline-oriented environment and is highly organized. You have the ability to manage multiple tasks with ease, strategically prioritize them, and analyze opportunities to make recommendations on approaches
  • Comfortable trying new things, quick to learn new skills and tools, and able to proactively identify new opportunities
  • Strong communicator; offers both strong, clear writing as well as impressive presentation skills. Understands the audience and tailors message accordingly to help bridge the gap between technology and business management
  • Passionate about strategy, data analysis and digital media. Familiarity with paid media platforms, such as Meta Business Manager and Google Ads, to analyze data and formulate recommendations
  • Ready to be part of a tight-knit, growing team; ambitious, can work independently as well as collaboratively and possess interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English

  • Passionate about web technologies (data layers, HTTP protocol, DevTools, etc.) and big data
  • You love to figure out ways to automate work processes and have some familiarity with SQL
