Qualifications
Production Operator performs all aspects of the process for Lysoveta and Algae., including material handling, equipment operations, equipment maintenance, process monitoring, quality control, and various support activities.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Operate manufacturing equipment
- Operate process equipment including but not limited to valves, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, etc.
- Perform process rounds and collect operating parameter data, raise awareness of conditions that are outside of expected ranges
- Investigate and troubleshoot abnormal conditions or equipment malfunctions
- Operate the production equipment via HMI (Human Machine Interface)
- Monitor plant equipment using flowmeters, panel lights, gauges, valves, to make sure it is operating safely and efficiently
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment
- Monitor process paraments and make adjustment to keep the product within specification limits
- Identify problems and find solutions to reduce downtime and produce in an efficient way
- Verify and calibrate instruments, perform preventive maintenance
- Identify and apply improvements to the process
- Handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste
- Perform in-process analyses
- Document production data and maintain records for compliance (work order WO, weights, self-checks, etc.)
- Maintain inventory of raw materials, consumables and packaging needed for the process
- Ensure clean and safe workspace
- Ensure the quality of work, products and services as a priority, performing all activities in compliance with GLP/GMP requirements
Required Skill/Abilities:
- Must have good mechanical skills
- Chemistry & Physics fundamentals
- Willing to operator a Forklift
- Able to work around and with various chemicals including ethanol, caustics and acids
- Must be available to work off shift and overtime
- Skills in basic computer (World, Excel)
- Basic math skills (additions, subtractions, multiplications, divisions)
- Ability to read and interpret prints
- Written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Work closely with Production Manager, QA Manger and other departments such as warehouse
- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Shifts Sunday- Tuesday and every other Saturday, or Wednesday- Friday and every other Saturday from 6am-6pm
Education Requirements:
- Process Technology degree
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
