Position Overview
The Project Manager will oversee and drive the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects supporting AKG’s EV, OEM, and HHP business areas. This role requires effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong project management skills, and an ability to drive results across complex, high-priority initiatives. The individual in this position will play a key role in the seamless integration of new technologies, products, and processes within these critical business segments.
The Project Manager will ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver value to the business and customers. The role will require adaptability, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on results.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution:
- Lead and manage projects across the EV, OEM, and HHP segments, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, and resources.
- Develop detailed project plans, defining project scope, milestones, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects are aligned with AKG’s strategic goals and meet customer requirements and expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including engineering, R&D, production, and sales teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Work closely with the EV, OEM, and HHP business leaders to ensure that their needs and objectives are effectively integrated into the project’s execution.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving:
- Identify potential risks early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address project issues or obstacles, ensuring minimal impact to timelines and deliverables.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Provide regular project updates to senior leadership, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ensure that communication flows efficiently between project teams and leadership, maintaining alignment with business goals.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Continuously evaluate project processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for project management within the organization.
- Customer Focus:
- Understand customer needs within the EV, OEM, and HHP sectors and ensure projects align with those needs.
- Foster strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and collaboration.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and that resources are allocated effectively.
- Monitor project expenditures and make adjustments as needed to keep projects within budget.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
- Experience:
- 5 years of project management experience, ideally in the automotive, EV, OEM, or industrial sectors.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in driving projects across diverse teams and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong project management skills with a deep understanding of project life cycle from initiation through execution to closure.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to manage risk and uncertainty effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
- Experience working with EV technologies, OEM processes, or high horsepower applications.
- Familiarity with product development and manufacturing processes in the automotive or energy sector.
Soft Skills:
- High degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and personalities.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and development.
Working Conditions
