Under general supervision, this position clears the material exceptions for the business implementation of Mercedes-Benz Supply Chain Operation IT solution “AmSupply” and follows up on the findings and work to resolution.
Duties and responsibilities
Resolve daily Mobsy and AMS exceptions identified by Team Members.
Align escalations with MBUSI Network team and ensure execution of aligned countermeasures.
Research reason for exception. Document issue and feedback to causer. Resolve or escalate exception. Follow up on corrective actions and clean point. Find and implement process improvements. Charge back issues to causers. Conduct regular meetings to track open topics.
Work in different shifts and weekends if necessary.
Supports business needs for Inbound, Material Handling & Warehousing, and Outbound Sequencing. Understands the interfaces between AmSupply and surrounding systems including mbFS, MobSy, SQMS, cbFC, Paragon, ZASM for desired systematic communication.
Create reports on process quality and system performance as required.
Initiate and lead problem solving where needed to maintain process integrity. .
Shop floor support for handling exceptions in Mobsy and AMS.
Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
Work safely 100% of the time.
Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum level of education
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in (choose all that apply):
Business Administration / Supply Chain/Operations Management
Or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional Experience
Co-Op/ internship and/ or up to 2 years' professional experience in the following area(s):
Material Handling experience with background in Logistics
Required skills
Knowledge in Warehousing, Outbound Shipment and Transportation
Shelf motivated/driven to be successful Hands 0n Problem solving skills Team work
Ability to work different shifts and/or weekends
SAP know-how
Ability to approach problems in a methodical and logical manner
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Strong computer skills
Technical competence with SAP and various software programs
Strong communication skills
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Knowledge of Logistics processes and MBUSI systems
SAP experience in WMS and MRP demand processes
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
EDI system knowledge
Preferred skills
Experience of SAP Warehouse Management System and SAP Material Master
Contract Details:
Contract Length: Starts off as a 12 month contract, with high possibility of extension
Shift: Day Shift - Monday / Friday
Week OT: 2 hours per day expected
Weekend: Mandatory is production is running
Pay Rate: $25 to $40/hr
