Akkodis is seeking a Business System Analyst for a full-time/permanent position with one of our direct clients which is based out in San Antonio, TX (Onsite).
Salary Range: $75-80K/annum (The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Job Description
- You'll be responsible for working and collaborating with our IT and Operations teams and enhancing every aspect of business operations, empowering both internal and external users with solutions that are critical in supporting the company and their partners.
- To be successful as a Business System Analyst will bridge the gap between our business and IT operations, ensuring that our home-grown warehouse technology solutions align with our organizational goals and meet the needs of our customers and employees.
Responsibilities
Analysis and Problem-Solving
- Work directly with the warehouse operations teams to analyze and understand data, processes, and systems to identify issues and gather project requirements
- Evaluate and document business processes, anticipating requirements and developing optimization strategies with IT and Business teams
- Analyze system performance impacting the complete product for non-functional requirements like reliability, operability, performance efficiency and security
- Define and execute testing strategies and scenarios for project and enhancements
- Conduct research and stay current with IT trends to recommend best practices
Technical Expertise
- Develop functional requirements, wireframes and design solutions for new and existing systems
- Oversee the installation and testing of break-fix, enhancements and projects
- Assess hardware and software needs and provide recommendations for improvements, including on premise and cloud systems
- Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application
- You will be expected to display an operational mindset, support, and ensure reliability of the solution and systems under your purview
Communication and Collaboration
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to gather requirements and define user acceptance criteria, which include user stories, wireframes, process flows and detailed specifications
- Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development life cycle
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 3 years of experience in business analysis or related IT roles
- Strong understanding of database querying and manipulation tools such as (SQL, NoSQL)
- Proficiency in business intelligence software tools such as (Powe BI, Tableau)
- Experience with business systems such as (Office 365, ADP)
- Experience with specification and collaboration tools such as (Figma, Jira)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in business analysis or project management such as (PMP, ITIL)
- Experience in data visualization and technical writing
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as (SAFe 6.0)
