Akkodis is recruiting for a Cloud Engineer in Rochester, NY.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, specifically with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), but AWS experience will also be considered. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services with a strong focus on automation and efficiency.
Pay rate of this Cloud Engineer job in Rochester, NY is $45.00 / hour - $53 / hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. SORRY BUT NO C2C FOR THIS ROLE
Duties / Responsibilities for the Cloud Engineer include :
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services using Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a focus on automation and scalability.
- Develop and deploy cloud resources using Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines and best practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Recommend and design application architectures that follow a cloud-first methodology and align with business needs.
- Collaborate with software development and DevOps teams to define and implement cloud solutions that ensure availability, performance, and security.
- Build and support Composable Commerce solutions, leveraging microservices, APIs and headless services to create scalable and flexible e-commerce architectures.
- Manage cloud resources, including compute, storage, networking, and security configurations, to optimize for cost and performance.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines using tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform, and scripting languages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud security and data protection.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve cloud solutions.
