Akkodis is seeking a CADD Technician for a Direct hire position with a client in Kansas City, MO.
Pay Rate: $26-28/hr. on W2 and benefits.
Transportation Design Team
Responsibilities:
- Project design and drafting in compliance with proper drafting and engineering standards to produce quality plan sets
- Set up projects in appropriate CAD workspace for the design team
- Be efficient in addressing comments during the quality control process
- Support design team through quality control process on prepared plans
Education, Licensing, Certification and Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in CADD Drafting or a related field
- 3 to 6 years of experience
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficient in Bentley, MicroStation, Open Roads, or AutoDesk Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with design standards, including AASHTO, MUTCD, WEF, APWA, and AWWA.
- Knowledge of client standards, including DOT, counties, and municipalities.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be detail-oriented and strive to perform work accurately and efficiently.
- Must be able to follow specific, detailed instructions to carry out routine to moderately difficult tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
