Akkodis is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager for a Direct-Hire job with a client located in Blue Bell, PA (Hybrid).
Pay Range: $90,000 to $110,000 10% Bonus; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Need local or nearby candidates to Blue Bell, PA for a 2-3 days/week hybrid role.
Here’s what you’d do:
The Accounting Manager plans, coordinates, and manages key accounting functions, including accounting policy and accounting close and analysis for corporate departments. This position leads special projects, supervises 0-2 direct reports, and reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Accounting.
You’d be responsible for:
- Perform monthly income statement and balance sheet reviews; interact with key members of the operations and corporate teams to understand significant fluctuations, trends, and key drivers impacting results.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other key deliverables prepared by the Accounting team.
- Actively research new and existing accounting literature to ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards; prepare documentation ensuring appropriate accounting for actual and proposed transactions.
- Build and maintain accounting policy manual; work cross-functionally to ensure policies are in compliance with GAAP, operationally feasible, and effectively communicated across the organization.
- Assist and oversee the assistance provided to the Financial Reporting team in preparation of financial deliverables and ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Execute all responsibilities in compliance with the internal control framework over financial reporting.
- Maintain relationships with external audit staff and support various aspects of the audit; complete various interim testing activities, and quarter-end tasks and manage audit matters to completion.
- Identify process inefficiencies, recommend efficient process alternatives, and facilitate the execution of process improvements.
- Perform analysis on current business issues and their potential impact on our accounting, disclosure, and filing requirements.
- Manage the activities of individual contributors with accountability for goals, objectives, operational policies, and performance.
- Facilitate employee training and professional development for all direct reports.
You might be a good fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA strongly preferred
- 5-7 years of accounting and financial reporting experience, including public accounting and public company reporting experience
- Flexible/team player; comfortable changing directions mid-stream; understands the importance of achieving team objectives.
- Action-oriented; thrives in a dynamic environment; takes initiative to identify and resolve issues
- Precise, deadline-driven team member with strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of proficiency in Excel to perform spreadsheet and financial analysis
- JD Edwards and OneStream experience a plus
